Let me play Devil’s Advocate for a second. Suppose the woman seeking the abortion is a rape victim. Wouldn’t forcing her to view an ultrasound be a little cruel. You would be forcing her to relive how she became pregnant. I could understand for women who became pregnant through consensual sex, but for a woman who did not have a choice that seems like it could be too psychologically damaging.
Different people will react different ways, but I think that if she’s pregnant, she’s going to have that on her psyche anyway.>>Besides, that baby’s humanity will still be there regardless of how she got pregnant, so she ought to know that her decision might kill a defenseless child.
